There is a lot to like about google chrome, here are a few of my observations: view source in regular tab why would we need another less costumizble pop-up window? url in pop-up you can always see the url of the page you are, even in an pop-up window, very handy to see where you are and even more if you want to make an application shortcut

Google has just added a new feature to their Google reader. While in the offline world languages still separate us more than anything else, in the online world also this gap is closing slowly but surely. Google already introduced translated search which let you conveniently search in a different language, but now you can even keep track of blogs you would not be able to understand in any other lifetime. But than you probably weren't checking blogs in the first place.....

As Blogoscoped and Znet report Google has added footnote functionality in the Google Docs. It seems to be a wink to Microsoft Hotshot Ballmer, who was just recently talking down on Google docs as not real competition to Microsoft Office Suite. As Znet's Garett hints, is that what makes Google apps/docs so powerful is exactly what it shows here. It can work directly with th news. If Microsoft has anew idea it probably takes a year to reach a consumer and than it only effects those who buy an upgrade/new product, while Google docs delivers it within 2 days to every single user. Say what, Steve? PS. I only got it to work with new documents, existing documents didnt let me add the footnote.

This is just a few of the items i have come accross. Will update this as time goes by. omnibox extended results being very slow whenever i type something in the omnibox it takes more than 10 seconds to return my search hisotry and/or bookmarks page search doesnt look in text boxes (text area) probably the most anoying bug for me. nothing is as frustrating as when you are editing something online and your are looking for a specific text or code and your Ctrl+F page search just cant find it, because oit forgets to look in text areas problems with flash especially videos misteriously closing tabs sometimes when i type an url in the omibox and hit enter the tab actuallydisapears. it seems to hapen especially when i do a sudden mouse gesture just after hitting enter.

Let the teachers be responsible for enforcing school policy and turn on Safe Search. Instead, use Google for everything it offers beyond a pretty fine search engine. .... One of the anoying things about Microsoft is that they allways want to their own thing, instead of following a standard. It is what happened to the internet browser (the successful inernet explorer challange of netscape) and the ebook reader (Microsoft Reader failed to beat Adobe (Acrobat) Reader), to name two.  Often these new apps come with their own file name extension, making them incompatible with other software. Now they actually have one format where they are the absolute standard . I think at the moment every pc in the world is able to process a .doc file. Even if you dont have MS word, most alternative software will process .doc files, online word processors are keen to have an import feature, google search indexes the files and even windows "native" wordpad can open a .doc file. So Microsoft got bored with people having to much ease of use and decided to through the .docx extension at the world in Office 2007. To maximize annoyance they made it the default format to save files in. Suddenly i found my inbox cloaked with unreadable files. Google Mail didnt have previews and nothing on my pc would read it.  My Taskbar and especially Quick Launch Toolbar have undergone a metamorphosis the install of Google Chrome Browser. See the image at the left. As you can see  I prefer the standing vertical taskbar. This allows me to have a lote more tabs open. Web apps were always a bit difficult to get to, but this instant access without even an address bar in the browser window, really has opened up a lot potential for me. For instant messaging and file transfers, i still depend on desktop software (not sure if file transfers would ever make it into a web app...) hence the pidgin, skype, google talk, filezilla, flashget and idrive icons. Than there is  two native window icons for the desktop and the recycle bin, as well as a bleutooth icon to get images from my phone. Itunes is for syncing my ipod more than anything else. Than my most adored desktop app: notepad++: always fast loading, instant savable, and again with ftp support. But the rest is pretty much web apps.    Cookies are keeping us conveniently logged-in in all the daily services. E-mail, social networks and all the other sites. But sometimes you need to log-in with another user account Your additional gmail account. The statcounter for the other site. Or just another person using your pc. With Google Chrome's incognito you surf around all this. If you open your gmail incognito, you will NOT be automatically logged-in. Additionally you dont need to re-login later with your normal account. That is pretty convenient. No need to open different browsers, just right click on the link and choose "Open link in incognito window" or the shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+N

 There is talk around town that the Indian start-up Zoho Apps that just celebrated their 3rd anniversary  could be signing a deal with General Electric : Unconfirmed reports are circulating that GE already chose Zoho, but Oliver Marks at ZDNET set the record straight today about the claims:"For the record...no decision has been made on Google Docs, Zoho, or any other vendor at this time, but a vigorous evaluation is taking place," he writes. So what is Zoho? Webguild says: Zoho is a remarkable company. They have out maneuvered all the usual suspects such as Microsoft, Google, and Salesforce at their own games. Not too long ago, the company turned down a takeover offer from Salesforce. Zoho is an example of the new Web economics at work.
